I bought several phairos in multitude of colours to go with a collection of jerseys I’ve got. They look kind of cool, perhaps tribal, on my head and they do a good job of keeping the sweat away from my glasses. According to my cousin, they make me more visible to other road users while riding on the road. My cousin was driving home one day and she noticed a piece of cloth flapping on a the back of the neck of a cyclist – me, riding ahead. It made her slow down and kept a safe distant when she passed the cyclist. She took a quick glance and realized that the guy on the bike was none other than her cousin. True story.
